Natural Pampas Fluffy

The soft, fluffy plumes of pampas grass are a popular decorative accent for interiors and special events, like weddings.
Drying: To prepare plumes for decor, cut them when they are fully emerged but before they begin to shed. Hang the stems upside down in a cool, dark, and well-ventilated area for a few weeks to dry.
Fluffing: When you are ready to display the plumes, take them outside and gently shake them to remove excess shedding and help them fluff up. You can also use a hairdryer on a low-heat setting.
Preserving: To prevent shedding, apply a light mist of hairspray over the plumes once they are dry and arranged.
Styling: Dried plumes can be used in vases as centerpieces or floor decor, or crafted into wreaths, wall hangings, and bouquets.
